For Your Body:      For Your Mind For Your Soul:

Diane’s Notes:

I would like to take this time to thank everyone for their thoughts, words, prayers and deeds during my recent 2-year battle with illnesses. It is good to again be able to serve OUR GOD in the way He has set for me.

I would like to acknowledge a dear friend who recently went to be with the Lord. Kitty McFarland. Kitty was the Parish Nurse Coordinator at Mercy Baptist Church in Weirton, WV and a beautiful spirit filled hearted person. Let us thank God for the lives He let Kitty touch during her life here on this His good earth.

FOOD SAFETY TIPS FOR A SAFE AND HEALTHY 4TH OF JULY
Before you fire up that grill to celebrate Independence Day, here are a few reminders to prevent food-borne illness or food contamination: -- Food safety begins with hand-washing even in outdoor settings. And it can be as simple as using a water jug, some soap, and paper towels. -- Rinse fresh fruits and vegetables, including those with skins and rinds that are not eaten, under running tap water before packing them -- Marinate foods in the refrigerator, not on the counter or outdoors. If some of the marinade is to be used as a sauce on the cooked food, reserve a portion separately before adding the raw meat, poultry, or seafood. Don't reuse marinade. -- Don't use the same platter and utensils that previously held raw meat or seafood to serve cooked meats and seafood. Matthew 21:19 tell about the wondrous withering of the unfruitful fig tree. Let us be mindful that the Lord cursed the fig tree with its many leaves but No fruit, and the fig tree withered. Think about your life, with its many leaves (the cares, desires and thoughts of the body) does it also have spiritual fruit? If we have NO spiritual fruit we will come under the same curse, NOW is the time to set it right.
